Public Programs | Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement
Get 0% Financing to Replace Your Outdated Clay Sewer Lines
Program Overview:
Sewer service lines are the pipes that take waste water from your home to the main sewer line. If your home was built before 1980, these pipes were typically made of clay. These clay sewer service lines are prone to crack or separate over time, which can cause leaks or allow roots to enter the pipe. Improper installation can cause even newer service lines to leak.
As a homeowner, you are responsible for maintaining your sewer service line out to your property line. Repairs to these pipes can be expensive. This is why MSD has introduced the Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement Program.
As a participant in this program, you are loaned up to $5,000 to cover the cost of replacing your sewer service line with durable and efficient PVC pipe. You can then repay the loan within up to three (3) years at zero percent (0%) interest, although there is a $270 fee to cover administrative costs.
If you decide to participate in the SSLRP, you must obtain at least two bids from plumbers on their Approved Plumbers List.
Dauenhauer Plumbing is proud to be included in the list of approved plumbers for the Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement Program.
